About

Lets get to the root issue(s)

At Mountain Valley Counseling we think all styles of talk therapy have the potential to serve any open and willing person well. With that said, we view mental health from a trauma-informed lens. We believe that there are underlying issues to every presenting problem. We feel that if we can explore the root causes, we may be able to eradicate not only the presenting problem(s) someone comes to therapy with, but also explore and gain awareness into deep-seated patterns and behaviors, which often promotes more lasting change. Because of the diversity of our clinical backgrounds and education, our clinical team has various approaches to counseling work and practices from many different theoretical orientations. We are person-centered in our approach, as we want to meet clients where they are at. And above all, we want to facilitate a secure attachment in the therapist-client relationship. Give us a call or email and we will be sure to get you scheduled with a therapist who is a great fit for your individual needs.
